check out rare videos on youtube of jimmy becker when he was a member of Skanking Lizard in early 80's. This was the first band he joined when he came back from his days in Jamaica.

Jimmy I've know for years and it was a pleasure to meet Charlie this last fall.
I would strongly encourage everyone to be sure to go hear either of them if you have the chance.
I don't know much about Roy but I'm familiar with his name. Does he still perform?

Scotti thanks for putting up the info on Mr Becker----all told, the Trinity of harmonica players in JA music is comprised of Jimmy, back to Roy Richards then Charlie Orgainaire.

Looked for some You tube footage of Jimmy playing with Blue Riddim Band but so far all I have is this excerpt from a show That was a tribute to Scotty not long after he passed.
Not great quality footage but it shows Jimmy playing several times.

Guess he's too humble to say anything, but the guy you mention who played with Blue Riddim band is Jimmy Becker.
He played on many tunes while living in JA. Many of these were recorded at the legendary Channel One and many released on the Wellcharge label.
I recently had the honour to hear both Jimmy Becker and Charlie Organaire on stage together with Stranger Cole. I really hope some one filmed or taped it.

As a player of harmonica for more than 40 years, I found it appreciated by players in Jamaica to find a harpist who could play Studio One & Treasure Isle horn lines.:D

Beyond the efforts of Roy Richards & Charlie Organaire (both of whom used a fairly limited approach to the instrument), I've often wondered why the Jamaican music scene has never had its own homegrown virtuoso.
