I'm generally ok with making fun of individuals. In my own humor I simply avoid making fun of religious belief systems as well as people's prophets and gods. I also tend to stay away from mean-spirited jokes (i.e I won't joke about certain scandals the catholic church is involved in). But I believe the pope, individual imams, lecturers, etc... are fair game as long as the jokes aren't outright slanderous.

For what it's worth, I find my jokes about Mr. Ratiznger to be in pretty decent taste, primarily portraying him as a guy who's just trying to be hip with today's trends.
