Midnite Announces Summer Tour

Sort of. Here's what their website says:

"Unplugged! & Unfiltered! Vaughn Benjamin gathers the
massive for a first time, Spoken Word Communion with all the I,
up-close & direct. Don't miss this Tour"

Seems to be Vaughn doing spoken word and poetry, possibly without instrumentalists. Anyone else have any info on the form of this tour?

I'll be at any local show reguardless.

Interesting. Just spoken word. I'm excited to see it.

Their website had dates as of yesterday, albiet with many "OPEN"s and "TBA"s, but today, there are no dates again. Hummm...

if it is vaughn, why is it not the "vaughn announces summer tour" tour?

You still see dates, traveller? I certainly do not...

And yes, they should call it Vaughn Benjamin's Spoken word Tour, not Midnite's.

I'm curious, though, as to what material he will be doing. Some of his poetry, or acapella versions of Midinte songs or what? All I know is I'm looking forward to a unique show (or 3) from Vaughn.

I think the 'spoken word communion' language should give you a hint that there is not likely to be acapella versions of songs. My guess is that he will be lecturing and reading poetry from his book

gotta love Vaughn's lyrics, both in poem and song form. I've been wanting a copy of that book for a while, maybe I'll cop one with my next paycheck...

snwmf kills all my chances to see one of these spots, which sucks. wish i didn't have to be back east so soon after the show, and that i wasn't already planning to be out west so long before it.
