Anyone know where this line originated?

Tony Curtis uses it "Foolish Hearts". Nadine Sutherland uses it on "Never Knew" on the M16 riddim(A BIG TUNE!)... I know I have heard it another half a dozen times.

I don't think that the saying (never know a good thing till it's gone)....can be pin-pointed to an exact song or person...it's just a saying that made it's way threw time...bless
