Don is the best. I hope he does a few shows in the Sacramento area before SNWMF. Maybe in Truckee, outdoor Radisson, or Harlow's.

Don does shows in the Bay Area with the Reggae Angels, but I think they usually open for him rather than back him during his set. I don't know the name of the band that plays for him.

I love you but jah loves you more...don loves to say that . He always brings such niceness when he comes and shows the people lots of love. its funny though cause he has made so many albums on his own and yet when he asks the crowd what do you wanna hear they always pick a black uhuru tune. hehe smiling smiley

he had some items for sale, 1 was a CDR in a white sleeve of some singles i think he copied to distribute. it is really nice, but the sound is poor. came straight from 7" it would seem. some nice DJ version an ting. 6 bucks, not bad.
Re: Don Carlos

-its a shame nobody+ want to carry their own 7'inch anymore while on tour. not like it used to be. was so great to get records from small shows. dem good days i'll tell ya. i* tink beres need to add those lyrics in his song. JAH*

so many great tunes, those dont even really scratch the surface.

there was no need for don the don to do that uhuru thing even though he was original to that group. he is so much better on his own.

Firehouse Clash. I love that album. Ever crucial selection. Unfortunately the 2 greatest songs on there are not on the lp. "Woman change your ways" and "Black History".

i think the name of wadi's outfit is "jahbandis" or at least thats what they used to go by. maybe its changed now or maybe its dub vision they go by when they are backing don.

Many of you are talking about the song "Spread Out" or "Here I come again" actually they are two different songs both by Don.
"Here I come again" says "Spread Out, Spread Out..Here I come again"
"Spread Out" says "Spread out, Spread Out...An Rock dis here music"
In my opinion "Here I come again" is by far the better of the two.

While attending a Don Carlos show... maybe, 2yrs ago, @ the Shattuck Down Low in Berkely, they had some serious sound difficulties. We were waiting till close to midnight for Don to play. But in the mean time Wadi Gad was on the mic just chanting to some unknown players of instrument. But still long before Don came out, he took over the drums from whoever was playing them. You are so right Dale. I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like it. That man is ssooooooo wicked on the drums. Goin' a hundred mph, tam fallin' off his head.
WOW.
