U Roy: Show Time Live (14-track CD + DVD Concert)

Anyone have an opinion on this DVD ? I just noticed it at ernies after lurking round the u-roy thread on B+F.

dont know what that is but just ordered it! thanks for the heads up.

(not sure if its a dvd and a separate cd, or if they are somehow both on the same disk, it says its a "two sided" disk and i dont exactly know what they mean by that)

can you give us a little review when you've watched it ?

sure giab but the way i order from ernie it takes a while to get the merchandise so probably i wont be reporting back on it for awhile...and by then bufo or someone will probably have worn out their copy.

personally im interested in whether he is chanting over a live band and if so which band.

The two sided thing, I believe refers in this case to a multi regional feature, i.e. playable worldwide, similar to two sided DVD's with widescreen or full options, I've gone ahead and put it in the basket as well, seeing as it's the only DVD of U-Roy live that I've ever seen and it looks kosha, I can't see the old fellah signing off on a duff show with all the top nights he has under his belt ! How's that for optimism ?

well its a year later and i never got a copy of this...must have gone out of stock by the time i finalized the shopping cart.

2 discs, one audio the other the live DVD. Live band on the set.

i thought it distinctly said one disk, cd audio on one side and dvd video on the other.

some kinda new fangled gol durn thing.

i was more interested in whether the performance and video is worthwhile.

jb - the new burning spear ("our music" has our music on one side and a dvd of interviews and etc on the other. yes, new-fangled teknologoy.

Owning/viewing this set WHAT DOES IT SAY about my mental state that somehow I thought it wuz two discs, rather than Two, Two,Two=Discs-In-One???
