About '96 I was at Trade Roots with Carlos Culture, picking up fresh wax. He handed me a blank Raggedy Joe 7" and said "just buy this." That's when I first learned Terry Linen, and have been a fan ever since. I somehow missed this uplifting Mafia & Fluxy piece from last year... how long will this singer stay underrated?

As we move toward this festival, summer solstice and the LONGEST SUNNY DAY OF THE YEAR, let me draw this...

Respect Same Way

Terry is still one of the best singers in JA. I'd say him, Stevie Face, Courtney John and Romain Virgo are probably the best modern singers.

That piece is a little older than a year though, was included on his "Better Man" album that came out in 09. Really an excellent album start to finish

Terry Linen is bar none the best vocalist in JA. This is my personal opinion but honestly every time I hear his voice I stop and take note.

Ras James, why do you think he doesn't get more run on the festival scene?

Great singer. He has a very unique voice. I'll take my Terry Linen in moderation, but the man can sing!
