Bambú Station, founded in 1996 by the impassioned lead singer and multi-instrumentalist Jalani Horton, is the foundation by which the Virgin Islands Roots Reggae Renaissance has been built. Through the Bambú-produced Talkin’ Roots compilations, featuring the cream of the VI crop, on to their own groundbreaking albums, Bambú Station have been hailed by many as “bringing the glory
of the roots age to modern time.”

In November 2006 the prestigious Strathmore Music Arts Center in Bethesda, Maryland selected Bambú Station for its Artist In Residence Program, the first reggae band to be honored with this position. Bambú has since performed throughout South America, Europe, Israel and the Caribbean and Pacific Islands. April 2012 saw the release of their highly-anticipated new album, “Children of Exodus,” which has already been met with rave reviews. Bambú Station have distinguished themselves as contenders for the throne of modern Roots Reggae and look to cement their legendary status through this new album and supporting tour.
New album "Children of Exodus" reviews

Big Up Radio <> "5 out of 5 Stars.....An instant classic!"

United Reggae <> "The album is full of bubbly and natural riddims mesmerizing the listener. The Virgin Islands offer way more than the relentless roots from Midnite, and Bambú Station is a great example of the many mighty talented musicians coming from this musically blessed group of islands."

Reggaeville <> "The album's 16-track predominantly roots reggae set, livicated to Bob Marley and his Exodus album, is full of conscious, heartical lyrics, covering a stream of social, political and spiritual issues that have the essence of Marley running strongly throughout. Vocals are harmonious and honest and sit in front of a very organic and eclectic sound."

Inna Vision is back, riding the current wave of Polynesian Reggae that is blowing up, and presenting to the public their third full length album appropriately entitled "No Stopping." Their new album delivers a full-fledged original sound that encompasses all the beauty involved with everyday struggles, brought forward through the lens of the Hawiian culture. "No Stopping" is created to inspire listeners in following their dreams and their passions, despite life’s many challenges. Each song is chosen with purpose, created with passion, and presented with righteousness. Inna Vision's 2011 Upliftment Tour, co-billing with the legendary Kymani Marley, stopped in Oregon, Vegas, Utah, and the Hawai‘i Islands. Now, with their new release, Inna Vision looks to bring it all together and take it to the next level.

I don't think they'll be a very high turnout for the Flagstaff, NM show...

Bambu missed the first date here in Seattle sad smiley but to my surprise I really enjoyed this HI band. A little more roots than I'm use to from the island and the 3 singers have thier own style and sounded very good. Check this tour if you can.

Bambu was fantastic here in Portland-----high energy, sounded as good as I can remember hearing them. With Tuff Lion on board this show is even better. Had the crowd rocking and kind of felt for Richie Spice having to follow.

And Inna Vision has grown tremendously as a band....with Koko singing lead and the harmonies very tight, these guys have it together and are likely to be one of the next big bands to break out of HI.

Santa Cruz tonight, then SoCal, before back in the Bay end of the week.
