3 days of music + camping for a 100 bucks seems like a no brainer to me.

So what is he going to be performing all the reggae mixes of "hey"?

Seriously tho would love to attend this one. Unfortunately for us parents schools still in session along with Little League and the like. So maybe a Saturday night but that would be it for me.

I went to this festival last year. No police at all came around. Really nice. Camp 50 yards from stage and dancehall.

Dang this sounds pretty dope. Gonna make it out to this One for sure

This is a nice festival. I guess Angels Camp police changed their minds about revenue and festie-goers.Last year was really fun and the music was surprisingly good! Lots of talent. I bet this is going to be a popular festival if the sheriff's leave it alone. The community seemed very supportive and friendly.Check it out.

Either that or at least Calavares County's new sheriff (since 2010) did.....

I know the people throwing this show. Everyone is booked they are putting a lot of work into this year. Stay Positive Sound will be there and we are sponcering the event. I hope this year is a great success and I hope to see this show grow into something that will rival other big festivals.

If your on Facebook look them up. Every Monday they are giving away tickets on a Stay Positive Sponcered ticket giveaway called Positive Mondays.

Other acts on the lineup look solid too:

Anuhea
Messenjah Selah
Rocker-T
Natural Vibrations
Mystic Roots
Clear Conscience
The Expanders

plus some killer sounds....should be fun
Re: Reggae in the Hills 2013

Are Expanders backing someone or playing their own solo?

I say... Some Never Plant yet want to Reap,
Be careful, try to look before you leap;
Took a little walk from my Vineyard...
Now I'm all alone..

Not sure...they are advertised on the website along with all the other artists performing. No special mention about whether they have their own set or if they're in a backing role

Angels Camp! I'm going to check this out! The last time I saw Capelton was when the SNWMF was still there. I love Angels Camp! I have a timeshare there and can walk to the show. I wouldn't mind if the SNWMF relocated back there.

SNWMF is prob. going to stay in boonville. Being evicted 7 years ago can leave a bad taste in your mouth for a long time.
Re: Reggae in the Hills 2013
May 15, 2013 04:54PM
Just to be clear, SNWMF was not 'evicted' from Angel's Camp. They merely decided not to return given the hostility and animosity displayed by the Sheriff in charge there at the time. The funny thing was that, all the local merchants I talked to were very supportive of having the festival there and were disappointed when the festival moved on to greener pastures.... Apparently, so has Calaveras County as there's a new sheriff in town these dayz....

Ok Daniel. Are we (SNWMF) staying in Boonville then?

I remember hearing that the Merchants gave mad support. From Angels Camp, to Murphy's, to Arnold, and down to Sonora. I see that Reggae in the Hills is jumping off with a strong line up. So if the World Music Fest does not return, hopefully the Hills will keep it solid. Even if Midnite and VI crew become regulars there as they were at Frog Town early in the last decade. (2000s)

. So if the World Music Fest does not return,

Which "world music fest".....
Northwest World Music Festival?
Sierra Nevada World Music Festival?
Disney World Music Festival?
????

and why would you think SNWMF (which I will assume you are alluding to) is not returning?
Re: Reggae in the Hills 2013

Ummm. I abreviated.....yes.......referring to the SN---WORLD MUSIC FESTIVAL. I see that you knew what I meant seeing that you assumed as to what I meant....umm alluded too etc. I know it's just after 10 AM. Hey, if ROTR.....OOPS my bad Reggae ON The River is returning to French Camp after what went down, anything is possible.
