SNWMF 2013 - Dancehall

The dancehall will, once again, be happening Friday and Saturday night.

Friday Night:
Downbeat The Ruler: 8:00 pm - 11:00 pm
Jah Shaka: 11:00 pm - 2:30 am

Saturday Night:
Comanche High Power: 8:00 pm - 11:00 pm
Stone Love: 11:00 pm - 2:30 am

Downbeat starts at 8pm... I hope there are no other acts I want to see Friday Night.

Gappy Ranks.... maybe he will bless up the mic inna DH after his set.

With all the talent this year, there will prolly be some overlap and acts missed that one otherwise would catch. Not a bad problem to have IMO.

After looking at the list of performers, 24 reggae acts as i count em, there will be several conflicts. Hoping any new adds are world acts as i can't handle more reggae than that in a weekend anyway. Maybe sit out Groundation friday night to see Rockamovya at reggae on the river.

I want to see Rockamovya bad. I would still want to see Groundation because it would be awesome to compare and hear the differences in bands. I love that Rockamovya album. So excited for Groundation but really want to go to ROTR for Rockamovaya and Army.

I just hope U Roy doesn't headline the small stage Friday Night. How do choose between Downbeat and U Roy?

No worries there Diesel as U-Roy will be performing on Sattaday.....!

My concern is Protoje. Where will he be playing. If he was on a small stage I might have to miss him and I dont want to. What if he is playing during Max Romeo's set or Groundations set?? AGGGHHH. LOL. When I was at SNWMF in 08 I only knew Buju, Midnite, Prez Brown and a few other artists so I didnt worry about it. This year I want to see everyone!!!! Bringing my running shoes!

Well, you certainly won't be able to see EVERYONE rossta, but Protoje's set will not conflict with any of the artists you mentioned. He's performing on Saturday afternoon and that will be the only reggae going on at that time....

Thanks Daniel, When i was there in 08 I did not know there was a second stage. LOL. So this year I started thinking about it. So happy to hear Protoje will be on Saturday and the only show at that time.

Saturday will be an amazing day, Protoje, U-Roy, The Marleys all confirmed to be playing on saturday!!!!

When I said everyone I think I meant all the artists I am excited for which is- Alpaha Blondy, Max Romeo, Protoje, Leroy Sibbles, U-Roy, Cornell Campbell, Groundation, Sis Carol, Marcia Griffith, Gappy Ranks and Windy City. Dont forget the Marleys and the Ghetto youth crew.

I understand I wont catch them all but going to try. LOL

luckily, they usually stagger the start times so you can catch part of both sets of any overlapping acts....
but, i think with the majority of that list you are going to be very pleased.....

IMHO, that has been the case in many years of SNWMF. I still think the festival's motto should be "So much good music, you can't hear it all".
