Bless!! Heading to Reggae in the Hills next weekend and it's supposed to be blazing saddles (hella hot), and would love to cool down strong on Sunday. Any insight into swimming spots?? Heard there's a lake nearby, but a river could be real nice. Give thanks smoking smiley

Yea, the new malones lake is 3 miles down the road. Don't go to glory hole because they charge per car.

Go down hwy 49, left out of festival, drive 3 miles, cross bridge, take left at malones ct and go to lake. Free parking on side of highway.

See you there!!!!!

YES I if ya just want to cool it there is a creek in Angels Camp when you leave the fest go right at the stop sign the creek is on the left.
If ya have time go up highway 4 to Hunter Dan Rd. follow it to the river (candy rock) takes about 25 min or go up the hill more to Boards Crossing Rd. (sour grass) to the river its about 4000 ft elev. BEAUTIFUL spot it should take about 45 min BLESS

Fully endorse Candy rock and any of the acceses down boards crossing road. One could also stop off at White Pines lake in Arnold to take a quick dip.
