Tyler, you need to check out the Glen Washington album "Masterpiece". It was on the Zion High label a year or so back, and has production from Zion High Kings. You will definietely recognize a lot of the riddims on there.

It is a very good album.

Thank you for all the great info everybody! JPS I will check out the album. Sadly things came up today that will prevent me from coming now. Was looking forward to this weekend. Maybe I can make it work but sometimes that is how life goes I guess. Have fun everyone!!

Hopefully you will get some good footage from the weekend Nomo. Your talents are a serious gift to those of us on the East Cost that aren't blessed with some of these festivals/shows.

I for one am very thankful for your works.

Danny I and army were super nice last night in fairfax. Short sets but they are such crucial artists. Would love to see Glenn Washington, think I saw him last at ashkenaz several years back

So i went on Sunday. Well organized festival, though it ran several hours later than that schedule above, which, if you read the times for sunday, isn't hard to believe as those times are all messed up. I left at 11 pm right after Army and Danny-I, and right before Glen Washington went on. He was not off the bill.

Not too many in attendance, kind of like the Village stage crowd, not too hot on Sunday. Food was good, plenty variety, plenty of vendors. Nice spot near the river. At first i thought the stage was funky, being on a hill ten feet above the audience, but it grew on me. Made videotaping a little more difficult, but the mellow vibes made up for all that. Got video of Ras Indio, Misael, Arkaingelle, Danny-I and Army.

Since i got a bit of hearing damage from my coworker earlier this year, i bought a decibel meter. So i can report on sound levels at festivals and shows also. Reggae on the River was 100 decibels with peaks to 105 , twenty feet from the right stack. Abja at Ashkenaz was 90 decibels peaking at 95, 10 feet from the stage. This show was 95 decibels peaking at 100 when i was about thirty feet away. Can't wait to check the Valley stage next summer. I'm all about the 33 decibel ear plugs.

Love that reggae!
