His being perceived as a "loon" is a good bulk of the discussion

Big up Adam, I misplaced my copy of that audio.

It's funny when the artist is black and grows out his hair & beard, he is "conscious" but if he is Indian, he's a lunatic. SMH

There are not a lot of early 90s dance hall rekkuds I've got (compared to other decades) getting much play on my platter---The Cat is of a VERY select group that does. And his strong sides sure as hell have aged much much better than way-many of others from the era.

I hear ya Chimi, but I know a guy... smiling smiley

VERY LIMITED, mainly, cuz I don't wanna deal with too many other sounds anymore, so...

You'll understand if I remain skeptical. Other than for his two personal sounds, Cat hasn't cut a dubplate in 20 years, so I'll believe it when I hear it.

Consider I bought my first rekkuds by the Cat in the 80s, and he's been around this long Still, I would guess an enormity of people attending the fest (and who perhaps post here) have at best a distant/peripheral awareness of who this guy is.

He's the Jamaican rapper guy on Sugar Ray's "Fly". What else is there to know?
