What a sadness, what a true gentleman;and fantastic human being with always a smile on his face.I am blessed to know this gent and seeing him in my native sunshine state of Southern California for such a longtime, working, playing;and touring in the reggae scene many years as a professional guitarist.
R.I.P. Reggae Pops !!
I know God has embraced you already in his arms.

Man, through the years and the many fests/concerts I have attended one thing always brought a smile to my soul - the sight of Pops grooving to who ever happened to be on stage at the moment with that big ol' smile on his face. I would always hail him up and he would greet me like I was his long-lost brother, even though he didn't know me from Adam (or Higrade or nomo or ... ).

Pops is just warming up the galactic dancefloor for us until we cross paths again. Groove on my friend!

Early on Fridays over the years, there would be the man "Reggae Pops" entering through the gates at Sierra , smiling and grooving already as if to officially usher in the weekend. Though we never met , his presence would always give me the comfort in knowing that I had ,indeed, arrived in Boonville. The real beauty of Sierra Nevada is its ability to bring people together to celebrate and focus- in complete attention and certainty- a collective immersion in reggae fanaticism. Pops forwarded the irie vibe like no one else.
