One Love One Heart - Labor Day Weekend - Sizzla????

[oneloveoneheartreggaefestival.weebly.com]

I highly doubt that Sizzla will be playing this festival for tickets that are only $75 for the weekend. That seems way to sketchy for my blood. Is this the new bait and switch festival?

This festival is in Woodland, CA this year and not on the Sac. river.

Here is the initial line-up:

-Steel Pulse
-Sizzla
-Anthony B
-Akae Beka (midnite)
-Fiji
-Sister Carol
-Pres. Brown
-Guidance Band
-Irie Fuse
-Pacific Vibrations

Anyone have any real info on the true lineup???

I see Anthony B has the date on his web site. Interestingly, this is the "8th annual" but the 7th annual was held in 2015....

Looks like Sizzla and Akae Beka (midnite) have been dropped from the website. I hope the website is just messed up.

I don't know you go to their website and click on artists, Sizzla does not show up there but he does show up on their home page. Very very skeptical he will be there.

Sizzla played a 1 1/2 hour set in Oakland last month so I imagine he'll show up. Also Anthony B and Akae Beka have tour dates in Cali around this time so they should be there as well. Bless.

I'm going to buy tickets the day before. I don't trust this festival. I'm not worried about saving a few bucks. Labor Day weekend is super important to me. Can't do bait and switch.

Dry Diggins isn't competition. Matisyahu and Nahko are the headliners. That is a joke.

watched a clip of "Matis" ,as he is so lovingly tabbed, at RoToTom 2015, and have to ask the question, How does this guy continue to get gigs? Also noticed that he is on the UB40 tour as well with raging Fyah---am i missing something??

Anyone going to this show whatever you do Don't park in the DMV parking lot across the street from the fairgrounds main entrance. Any time there is an event here the owner of that lot will be there towing cars. I am a local and seen it happen so many times people thinking the DMV is closed I should be fine. Usually there is parking inside the gate or at the mall on the other side of the fairgrounds. Just wanted to let people know so they don't have to deal with having no car at the end of the night.

ATTENTION****** DUE TO THE EXTREME TEMPERATURES EXPECTED THIS WEEKEND.... THE ONE LOVE ONE HEART REGGAE FESTIVAL WILL ALLOW YOU TO ONE LITER UP TO OF UNOPENED WATER INTO FESTIVAL.... ANYTHING MORE PLEASE LEAVE IN YOUR CAR

"up to" one liter? That will last you about a half day, tops. Sounds like a really stupid rule that threatens both human and environmental life....

i have an extra show ticket and camping ticket, its a digital PDF. I have never sold tickets like that and have never bought any digital PDF tickets from anyone else, so I'm not even sure the tickets can be transfered.
How about I send you the tickets to your email and you can pay me $50 bucks after you get in and know its all good and the tickets are good. We can use a money transfer app

That's $25 weekend ticket and a $25 camping ticket, I have given away tickets in the past and am tempted here , - I'm just trying to make a little money back.

I think this guy hit the nail on the head!!! ( a posting from FB )

Denise take the nonprofit cause out of the discussion at this point. You need to make sure you have extra medical staff, access to shade, and ample water supplies on hand at reasonable if not free(water stations) or risk catastrophic results. Bottled water at those temps is potentially harmful anyways due to it leaching into the water if the bottles get too hot. It sounds like you're guilting people into risking their health for a nonprofit cause that most of them are either unaware of or don't care. They're coming for the music. You're already getting slammed for taking half-steps then responding combatively with your patrons. Do what's right here. Make sure your patrons are comfortable so that you earn their good will and friendly reviews. Telling them not to come and all that is a quick way to festival death. The reggae community/fan base you are catering to with this lineup doesn't forgive nor forget easily.

Jah people, I'm pretty sure if you bring a gallon of water that is unopened, they are not going to take it or turn you away. These people are not cops or prison guards. They are people!!! They are also out in the heat. This issue is a no brainer. Let's go and have fun. If there are issues at the time of entry, then post it then...not now. This is worry wart stuff....

I seriously doubt people cancelled because of the no bringing water BS. They cancelled cause it's going to be 110 degrees. Let's really talk about the real reason and truth.

For a small festival that is progressing I feel they did an amazing job. Yes it was hot put I've been to festivals where it has been hotter. The camping was the best I ever experienced...plenty of room and everybody had a tree to setup under if they wanted. All the acts that were suppose to show, showed up and ripped it!!

Everybody respected each other and watched out for each other. People were handing out water to whoever looked liked they needed it, especially to security or staff who were walking around. I met the promoter Denise who was super cool and a pleasure to speak with.

This was a very family oriented festival and saw no Etards running around like other fest. Kids were running around everywhere having the time of theirs lives...and also saw a few pups.

I read complaints here and there and I think a lot of people like to complain for the simple fact that they can. If it's to hot...bring shade, they don't have water stations...bring your own, they only allow 1 liter of water...buy some...although I saw plenty of coolers out there. Maybe it's just me but I never expect anything from anyone and I'm just thankful for a lineup and a venue. I'm in charge of the memories I make so I always come prepared to make great ones.

Anyway, just like any festival there're pros and cons but the pros out weighed the cons by a mile.

The Pros
* The lineup
* The lineup
* The camping- best to date
* The people
* The staff
* The ports potties- best to date
* No chemically charged festival goers...a few but nothing like others

The Cons
* Music stops at 10
* No dancehall- this was almost a deal breaker but for the price I paid, 125 bucks, I said F it.
* The venue - This is just my personal opinion because I never really dug the urban settings for festivals.

One thing I can't comment is the food vendors since I usually bring my own food. But from what I can tell, there wasn't many vegetarian or vegan options.

I hope they did well because I would love to go back next year!

Cant really have your cake and eat it too. Late night shows including late night dancehalls cater to the "Etards" and limit the participate of families. A lot of the acts I want to see are late at fests which makes it hard if not down right impossible to take my family. The venues location lineup and hours make it pretty interesting for a family. Actually being able to catch the whole show and be in a hotel room at 11 would work for my family. However the heat was a nasty card to be drawn...

Hopefully they pulled enough of a crowd to make it possible next year. Would like to check it, weather allowing.

This was the top reggae festival for me all 2017 summer. The size and amount of people was the best. The headliners were top notch. I went to the Sac. River everyday to cool off and came back around 4 pm when the sun hit the olive trees. It was amazing.

I had such a great time. I hope they do it again.

Problem is, I think they lost money. There was nobody there. I like small crowds but I doubt the promoters made any $$$. That could kill a festival real quick.

Also, brought in tons of water and no one said a thing.

For me the only problem with this festival ever has been the small crowds. I have a blast there, the small crowd makes for a real family feel in the campground. i've met people there i still keep up with. You want to meet an artist, go ahead, no fence keeping you out. i hope it comes back.

Love that reggae!
