Today is the birthday of the late Lincoln Minott, one of the very finest singers in the Jamaican realm...I may always look forward to hearing the latest talent and vocalist from the island, by honestly?? I am not expecting to hear his equal again...Rest In Power, sir.

Big up Lincoln Barrington "Granulated Sugar - Booga Wooga" Minott.... EVERY TIME!!!
He was one of the biggest influences to me and my love of reggae and i will forever be grateful.
Thanks for so many good tunes and wonderful memories...

My favorite singer...along with Leroy Sibbles the most underrated person who did more for reggae music than anyone would know, without taking personal credit.

True True, Chimino. And more than any vocalist on Studio One, Sugar was the most responsible for a revival of original Studio One riddims in the late '70s-early 80s. Just ONE thing he did...and just the nicest of guys.
