Has Glen Washington ever played SNWMF...?

...if he hasn't, it seems like he might be a fresh face and a top-ranking addition!

I just found that song called "Mission" he did for the Heavy Beat label. Bizzare version side too.

heres a funny thing: i think he *did* appear at the fest, but he was playing drums for some outfit. maybe im confusing him with someone else but thats what i believe ive heard.

i agree with a singing slot for him though.

one love

...that's a weird one JB.

GW on drums only, must have been before he got more popular? Still can't believe that he was the drummer for the Mighty Three's set and Culture's "Africa Stand Alone" - those were a good stretch back!

Yes, we saw GW a few years ago - and man, it was A+ stuff. The band was very together and Glen did a lot lota conscious/dread songs. [His love songs are ok too but when he goes conscious, it's another story.]

I normally don't put Glen Washington into the 'mystical' catagory, but he was almost there that night...SN could get the same.

Agree with you there once again, rf! Jah Glory for instance is such a HUGE tune!

has been at SNWMF, not as a vocalist.

have been trying for this one myself.. for years. would be great -- especially based on his strong, recent output, but unfortunately i'd still say a very longshot for SNWMF.

Yes BMC - Jah Glory was/is a big tune!

I remember hearing that song on one of Glen's earlier LPs called "Can't You See"....other (striking) cuts on the LP "Please Me" "Love In the Rain" "Trigger Happy" "Ozana" "Beau Land" & "Jah Light"...priceless material.

His lovers material should not be under-rated. He is a very talented and well rounded artist. Crucial.
