Heartical love and Respect Lineup 2004

Just wanted to send the lifelong thanks to Warren and Gretchen, for so many years of epic reggae memories. I can't believe FEMI KUTI, will be there, Femi is one of those performers you will never forget, not to mention the longest drum ever gracing a SNWMF. This will be epic! I made my first SNWMF trip back in 1997. A bunch of our friends got together in SF after driving up from So Cal. We braved the windy Marysville Night and heard the epic drum of Ras Michael, the Binghi Specialist as well as Congos and Abysinnians-who threw down not less than 3 amazing Satta's. I made the trip to the River in 98, missing the Epic Jr. Byles set (that was crucial, my co-host Jah T, who did make it to the fest-made a ROCKERS t for Jr- who was spotted later wearing said shirt.) In 1999, Lee Perry perhaps entranced by the christmas lights on the SNWMF press tent by Spleece and Roots from Fresno made a 3 hour stop and tossed out some sage if not baffling wisdom. It also had the amazing all too brief Reunion of Wiss, Skelly and Apple- IV (wish it was forever). 2000- My fiance and myself made our first SNWMF trip together, putting in our volunteer time at the Press tent- which i got to say is a great forum to speak directly with the Artist and hear their opinions and thoughts firsthand. whew, after interviewing Clinton Fearon and wishing to see Clinton rejoin Gladiators onstage, another dream come true. 2001, a new stage a new venue, much less of a drive to SNWMF....(nice, if it could just keep moving south....)more great artists, new music to enjoy, chilling with new friends and seeing old ones. 2002 was also nice as was 2003. Seeing people loving the music, I am still floored by the set by Peter Rowan and Fully Fullwood Band..... Working the press tent is a great way to share the vibes with other radio djs and media from around the globe, nice to make contact with djs all over.....I give thanks.
2004 I know the lineup will keep growing stronger all the while and I am so happy that Ras Michael will be there to fill the sky and hearts with Binghi music.

Warren, Gretchen, Wendy and all the others, Big Up! Love and Respect to all SNWMF fans....."its just so gooooood, you keep coming back!!!!!"
