i think that Don Carlos's band (wadi gad and crew) will be backing Linval. Either that or Fully Fullwood... Linvals show a few years ago was one of the best I've seen at SNWMF...

Let Linval have a long set....i'd like to see him close one of the stages Friday Night.
BIG UP LINVAL THOMPSON!

brother chimino, it was a sweet night in TORONTO,(aptly entitled VETERENS IN ACTION'), it ran ALL night, my last time seeing Inspector Willie on the set, and Charlie Chaplin was there also.

This wuz in the late 90s, and it stands as one of those musical sweet spots
of my entire life. U Brown was in tremendous shape on the mike, and the
Godfather was nice-ing it up---Father & Sons.

I onetime asked Roy in the late 80s, 'Of ALL the guys who came out of your style, who did you like the most?'

And his immediate,didn't-have-to-think-about-it response: "U-Brown".

Another Nice Memory---walking up on a Prezident Brown-U Brown set outside of
Sav-La-Mar,@midnite, on the road to BlueFields, just as the man start to chat 'Weather Balloon' ...

Hey I got to say, I'd really enjoy meeting some of those who post comments on
this board, such as yourself---Respect.

Yes respect Papa Ray, I would like to meet you and many others from here when the time comes in June. I expect you all will easily spot me when Downbeat plays, so by all means feel free to introduce yourselves (or if there is a linkup spot somewhere early I will try to make it)

I have over a dozen SturGav CDs and growing fast. Also one of the greatest dances ever I believe was Brigi and UBrown DJing over Jah Love Sound at Skateland in 1980.
You were very fortunate to witness that Toronto dance. I hope to hear Sturgav in its purest form one of these days still (I missed last year)
