I'm sure I spotted Ringo too (but my girl was crying too much in fear of the earthshaking bass for me to pop up and say hello).

Perhaps she'll be more used to it next time.

oh yes you were there too, next year i hope to do better meeting people! my sister might be bringing her by-then 1 yr old so maybe i will be in a "bass-safe" zone too.

Ruta - believe me - when Jerry is in full session - there is no bass-safe zone anywhere in the park.

I was just listing ten people seen in Stoke Newington in 2005. In fact only four of my entries, Bilko, Nick Rutherford, Dougie Wardrop and Gladdy Wax, were at the Stoke Newington World Music Festival in Clissold Park that Baldy, Rutabowa and Ringo mention.

Well in that case, here's my Stoke Newington 2005 'Mash it Up!' special - in order (roughly) of distance travelled to get there:

1. Ekki
2. Grumpy
3. Gordon
4. BMD
5. Zapatoo
6. Big Five
7. Ringo
8. Mr Swing Easy
9. Ian
10. Stephen Taw
11. Benj65
12. Concious Pilot
13. rutabowa
14. Jack Johnson
15. Penny Reel

I think that John Eden meant to come but I don't recall meeting him so I'm not sure if he made it or not. John - if we met, then I'm sorry for not remembering and I will hide behind my defence of being somewhat stressed and somewhat tipsy to boot.

Respect to you all

Baldy

John Eden was there Baldy mate.

Also I'm further away from N16 than Grumpy, although will be somewhat nearer this summer when I move into my girlfriend's place in the Midlands. Then I shall be a mere 2 hour journey by coach, rather than the current 6 and a half hours.

Thanks Gordon

I have some familiarity with the geography of N16 but none at all I'm afraid with the geography of NE16.
