I-Grade with live Horns?!! Wow! What a blessing the Cali massive got last night!! The only thing the VI sound could use more of is LIVE horns! What can you tell us about the horn section Daniel? Who are they? How were they?
Re: I Grade Eye Candy
March 11, 2006 04:46PM
They are from around these parts and I have seen them back many, many artists before but this is the first time they worked with STX artists. They definately added a nice flavour to a great night of music, but it was apparent they were still learning the songs cause these artists don't sing over old rehashed riddims....

I walked down The Independent's hall, made my way to the venue's entrance, and my jaw dropped...LIVE HORNS! Definitely get to an I Grade show if you can. The Red I Band provided the perfect backdrop to Army and Niyorah. (Unfortunately, I arrived at the venue after Abja's set but I'm sure he flowed beautifully. I hope to catch him at the Santa Cruz show.)

Dubwize's hornsmen? Nice.

Daniel, thanks for the pix.

Big up to the massive that enjoyed the show friday. I-grade and the Red-I Band are some talented, humble, and peaceful brethrens. Million7 hornz loved playing and recording with the I-grade crew. I hope that people keep the strong interest in live hornz instead of those "keyboard sounds". Great to hear the positive responses to the I-grade showcase, big up all who love the organic/big band sound.
Much respect to the massive,

Balboa -------- million7 hornz
