Rules for leaving the site?

Is it just cars in the camping area that won't be allowed to leave? Or people? Or what?

There's no lockdown or anything you are free to come and go as you please. We brought a moped with us to get around in the last couple years wich provided us a great mobility to the stores, around the site etc. If you really need to take your car you can even do that but note "Vehicles that leave the campground will be required to pay for camping again upon return." There is also a note that says camping will close 8pm Saturday night, so you might not be able to get back in to your camp with car even if you pay at that point. Not sure though.

you are allowed to leave in your car, you just wont be allowed back in without buying another camping pass (i assume). im pretty positive you can leave and re-enter on foot/bike/etc at will.

The moped idea is a good one Forward, though in Boonville EVERYTHING is within walking distance. But a sojourn up 128 to the water holes would be a fine way to spend the mornings....

Yes, you can come and go as you please, just not with your vehicle. If you DO take your car out, you'll have to pay another $35.00, and there is no guarantee you'll be able to get it back to the same camping area it was before departing.

Too bad those mopeds are not street legal, they have no registration, and none of us have a license to drive them, and one is pink, bumboclaat.. We might be better off bringing a few bikes....

im not so sure mopeds need to be registered and im pretty sure you dont need a special license to use them, like youre supposed to with motorcycles (except for some, ahem, governator). they are basically bicycles. but like everything else in california, they may have become regulated to the point they need to be licensed for the street.

One could do a Gordon and threaten suicide or even a Vital Ital by saying you're quitting the site and then coming back every few hours to see whether anyone's even noticed you've gone.
