OT: American Idol
April 11, 2006 04:43PM

...has been pretty poor the past two weeks. i hope it gets better, starting tonight. i think there is some talent there (paris, and the mcphee girl, plus a couple maybes), but they've been flopping themselves.

anyone else pulling for any of these kids?

NOTE:

please spare me the lectures on the pop-culture, ultracommercial nature of this show. i understand all that. in spite of that, i enjoy it as a talent competition for youth, and singers at that, and find enjoyment in the occasional good performance.

i don't enjoy paula abdul though. she's gotta get off those painkillers, or whatever has her all fogged up.

> I watch American Idol, and I understand why George Bush is president

yeah but so long as we're clear that understanding doesn't mean support

the show pretty much sucked again last night

worst season ever

I'd rather watch American Idol than idle Americans.

its mostly idle americans watching american idol. i thought that was the point of the title, a pun. evidently they are not so clever after all.
