Well, say K'naan was a friend of yours, and you'd hired him to do a party at your house. There are others available, but you'd like K'naan. Then, a month before your party he gets an invite such as this. If you were really a 'friend' instead of a business acquaintance you'd want what is best for him, which is clearly making this movie. So you would say, if you don't go do the movie, man, i'm gonnby nomotrouble - SNWMF Phorum 2013

Vaughn and Ron are the Neil Young's of roots reggae? Wow, that is a compliment. You make example of one of the most intelligent, driven, ornery, vital and successful rock musicians alive today. No wonder i like midnite.by nomotrouble - SNWMF Phorum 2013

I loved that Pablo Moses show too. Gave copies to the band at their show the next week at Ashkenaz, they all thought the snwmf show sucked. I assured them it did not suck and after they saw the recording, they all agreed. Pablo would not leave the stage til he was done.by nomotrouble - SNWMF Phorum 2013

Etana is one of the most professional, smart performers i've seen. Great voice, great vibe. Look at the way she looks right into the camera on several of these videos, especially 'Blessing' , I fell in love with her when she sang, Cause i love you, you love me its a blessing...... looking right at me. I won't miss her.by nomotrouble - SNWMF Phorum 2013
I'm not hatin on anything, i like all these bands. Different strokes for different folks, it's all good Mulligan. I understand why some don't like Groundation and Midnite, personally i can't relate to most of the dancehall artists...As far as being 15. I didn't really care for that year, now that i have another forty years on top of it i think i've grown up a little. Just a little though.by nomotrouble - SNWMF Phorum 2013
I'm probably going to miss Groundation's performance in favor of the Village stage, but not because of a lack of talent: 'One More Day(Live it up)' People if i had only one more day I'd live my life right i would I would find a way to love everyday, All people as i should And as they walk let them talk Let them talk about yesterday Standing alone, mounting their sin upon sin Wby nomotrouble - SNWMF Phorum 2013

My favorite of those songs i think is Love Right, Live Right: Love Right (Live Right) Ah ha ah ha a Ah ha ah ha a Ah ha ah ha a Ah ha ah ha a Love right, live right, love right, live right Yeah everything is gonna be alright If I and I love right and I live right Love right, live right, love right, live right Yeah everything is gonna be alright If I and I love right and Iby nomotrouble - SNWMF Phorum 2013

Seven good things that happened at snwmf in 2012: Prince Alla 'Stone' Perfect '30 Pieces of Silver' Johnny Osbourne 'Mushroom' LKJ and the Dennis Bovell Dub Band 'Sonny's Lettah' Jimmy Cliff 'You Can Get It If You Really Want' The Twinkle Brothers 'Faith Can Move Mountains' Luciano 'Redemption Songs/Destiny/Take Me Back To My Roots' It reallyby nomotrouble - SNWMF Phorum 2013
It's a different show, she's wearing a different dress. After listening for a couple minutes, the sound seems better, better mix and vibe. Gonna be a big show.by nomotrouble - SNWMF Phorum 2013
The first memory to fade away from my great times at snwmf is the exhaustion. Friday night is bliss, Saturday a bit sore, Sunday is a challenge to see what i've got left. Plans get pared down, naps get taken, intense performances on the Valley stage get skipped in favor of the quieter Village scene....and by Sunday evening it's all about when to call it a a day. It was an easy decision for me toby nomotrouble - SNWMF Phorum 2013
I'll be at the Village all friday night, on saturday morning at the village for Iqulah and Windy City, then move to the Valley for the rest of the day and night. I'll probably miss Cornell Campbell cause i can't see everything, Then sunday morning at the village again for Abja and Prince Fatty, at the valley for Holly Cook and Leroy Sibbles, back to the village for Keith and Tex and Dunkley, thenby nomotrouble - SNWMF Phorum 2013
With any luck we'll have those photo pit fill speakers again, without them the sound up front at the valley is missing a lot. You get a lot of stage sound, from the amplifiers on stage and the drums being right there, but not much vocals without those fills. I have found though, that standing in the front is a very different experience, more intense vibes, more personal connection to the performeby nomotrouble - SNWMF Phorum 2013
If Sibbles plays this one i'll be happy...by nomotrouble - SNWMF Phorum 2013
i have been to the mystic many times and enjoyed myself, but it seems like their mellower days have passed. Sound is boomy, it has been every time i've been there, i'm sure it's the theater, not blaming anyone, i just like the sound better at many other venues. So in the middle of the last midnite show i went to there an employee comes on stage and tries to offer Vaughn a water which he waved awaby nomotrouble - SNWMF Phorum 2013
I like roots reggae. Most of the artists that i see, to keep to the theme, seem to be a branch of reggae, connected to the history of it directly, but you strongly feel the influence of the artists that came before them. With Iqulah, i feel like he goes way back down to the root, a connection to the deep, original roots...... It will be important to arise early on saturday morning at SNWMF, stby nomotrouble - SNWMF Phorum 2013
