I loved that Pablo Moses show too. Gave copies to the band at their show the next week at Ashkenaz, they all thought the snwmf show sucked. I assured them it did not suck and after they saw the recording, they all agreed. Pablo would not leave the stage til he was done.

Etana is one of the most professional, smart performers i've seen. Great voice, great vibe. Look at the way she looks right into the camera on several of these videos, especially 'Blessing' , I fell in love with her when she sang, Cause i love you, you love me its a blessing...... looking right at me. I won't miss her.

I'm not hatin on anything, i like all these bands. Different strokes for different folks, it's all good Mulligan. I understand why some don't like Groundation and Midnite, personally i can't relate to most of the dancehall artists...As far as being 15. I didn't really care for that year, now that i have another forty years on top of it i think i've grown up a little. Just a little though.

The first memory to fade away from my great times at snwmf is the exhaustion. Friday night is bliss, Saturday a bit sore, Sunday is a challenge to see what i've got left. Plans get pared down, naps get taken, intense performances on the Valley stage get skipped in favor of the quieter Village scene....and by Sunday evening it's all about when to call it a a day. With any luck we'll have those photo pit fill speakers again, without them the sound up front at the valley is missing a lot. You get a lot of stage sound, from the amplifiers on stage and the drums being right there, but not much vocals without those fills. I have found though, that standing in the front is a very different experience, more intense vibes, more personal connection to the performe

Most of the artists that i see, to keep to the theme, seem to be a branch of reggae, connected to the history of it directly, but you strongly feel the influence of the artists that came before them.
