They're either not greasing the proper palms in Jamaica, or an enthusiastic somebody is looking into their tax/revenue stream.by Chimino - SNWMF Phorum 2013
^I met you two cats awhile back right? You two are witnesses I was a Warriors fan from at least '05.by Chimino - SNWMF Phorum 2013
I only made it for 2005, but thoroughly enjoyed to favorites Sugar Minott & Luciano, along with the Abyssinians, Winston Jarrett, and the Fifth Element Crew who I saw all for the first and last time. I also deeply regret sleeping through Alcapone's set, but @#$%& happens.by Chimino - SNWMF Phorum 2013
I'll take a listen.by Chimino - SNWMF Phorum 2013
Bunny needs to mind his own business. Why not go after Sizzla and Capleton and all the other self-styled Rastas in Jamaica who don't live up to all the tenants either. I guess because Snoop has more fame than all of them put together.by Chimino - SNWMF Phorum 2013
1am is not bad for an after-hours club. If it's 2am lock-off, then that's a different story. Either way, Gyptian is wack.by Chimino - SNWMF Phorum 2013
That's a great lineup. Good luck to youby Chimino - SNWMF Phorum 2013
I think King Sturgav and some of those other foundation sounds play the North Coast fairly regularly. I would look for flyers when you're there, you might catch a good rub-a-dub dance on the beach with Josey, Charlie, etc.by Chimino - SNWMF Phorum 2013
I guess Bunny wants that money which Rita should be paying from Snoop. Someone posted this on Soundclash Fraternity group on Facebook: Quoteif any of yall seen the movie Made In Jamacia.. Bunny a sing inna purple cowboy suit and silver tassels a sing bout i shot di sheriff and 2 gyal a skin out... maybe the rasta council can sue him for fukkery lolby Chimino - SNWMF Phorum 2013
Plenty of musicians use or have used cocaine (wouldn't be too far off to say MOST reggae artists from the 1980s at some point). It's not the habit, but how it causes one to act. Gregory had a worse rep for it than DBrown only because the former let it affect his performances (or lack of)...that's one example. Some commit acts of violence under it while others hide it quite well. Same with anyoneby Chimino - SNWMF Phorum 2013
I can work with those...respect for the replies.by Chimino - SNWMF Phorum 2013
What were some of the best riddims this year (both roots & bashment)? I need to sift through the garbage to pick the winners. The only true banger I've found so far was the Cool Out riddim.by Chimino - SNWMF Phorum 2013
QuoteJ_72 These schisms have existed in Rastafari almost from the start. I do agree with this author that Sizzla should not be elected into elder status. There are clear guidelines, he is far too young to be anybody's elder, and he has questionable character. Just my opinion. No need to hold back, J. Sizzla is a fuckery on a character level, but still a great musician. Very few musical Rastas hby Chimino - SNWMF Phorum 2013
His 2012 tunes have been some of the best he's made in years. I guess the land aquisitions in Africa have been good for his music career, if nothing else.by Chimino - SNWMF Phorum 2013
QuoteIRIEMON I'm seriously thinking of traveling distance from the SF Bay Area (driving? flying?), making for an EPIC weekend in SD. (At least that's how I've dreamed it). I prefer to see the lineup expanded with a few more headliners. I never tire of I-Vibes. Instead, mi eyes keep falling pon the "lineup subject to change" disclaimer, which worries me. Especially in light of todayby Chimino - SNWMF Phorum 2013
Quoteiriebarto All I was trying to say is that if everybody had guns then the badman shooting up folks would have to consider the fact that everyone else has guns there for less likely to attempt such a shituation... You're taking away that power they feel when they hold a gun if everyone has that power. Doesn't matter the size of your gun they are all deadly.. Again I don't know how many times Iby Chimino - SNWMF Phorum 2013

@#$%& that guy!by Chimino - SNWMF Phorum 2013
Capleton already signed the Compassion Act, so he won't be performing any of his anti-gay material abroad and it should be a moot point. Gays have the right to marry, but people have the right to see whatever concert they like also. Live & let live extends to all sides.by Chimino - SNWMF Phorum 2013
I think it was Buju's whole Til Shiloh album.by Chimino - SNWMF Phorum 2013
QuoteNinja when Buju comes out his career with SKYROCKET. He will still be able to go to Europe and Japan. I have never heard of either a reggae or hip hop artist who's spending time in prison has effected their fan base. Just my thoughts. He's 39 years old right now sentenced to 15 years in prison. He'll be a sympathetic case when he gets out but likely as relevant as Burro Banton where his caby Chimino - SNWMF Phorum 2013
Buju made two major mistakes: messing with cocaine, and not taking the plea bargain which was offered. His music career may be over, but at this point I just hope he survives prison and is able to make something of his life if/when he gets out.by Chimino - SNWMF Phorum 2013
Any excuse to (urinate) on the Giants' grave is good enough for me. After last night, I don't know what else the A's can do to top themselves....except win.by Chimino - SNWMF Phorum 2013
Big up jfx...I have the video bookmarked and will watch it when time allows.by Chimino - SNWMF Phorum 2013
QuoteJ_72 Two wars and crumbling economy and weed smokers are worried about pot. Seriously? Definitely a "pet issue". Well, you guys have legalization on the ballot in three states this year, maybe start there this year. But for the rest of the country, marijuana legalization is about 49th on the list of important issues this election.by Chimino - SNWMF Phorum 2013
