I only made it for 2005, but thoroughly enjoyed to favorites Sugar Minott & Luciano, along with the Abyssinians, Winston Jarrett, and the Fifth Element Crew who I saw all for the first and last time. I also deeply regret sleeping through Alcapone's set, but @#$%& happens.

Bunny needs to mind his own business. Why not go after Sizzla and Capleton and all the other self-styled Rastas in Jamaica who don't live up to all the tenants either. I guess because Snoop has more fame than all of them put together.

I think King Sturgav and some of those other foundation sounds play the North Coast fairly regularly. I would look for flyers when you're there, you might catch a good rub-a-dub dance on the beach with Josey, Charlie, etc.

Plenty of musicians use or have used cocaine (wouldn't be too far off to say MOST reggae artists from the 1980s at some point). It's not the habit, but how it causes one to act. Gregory had a worse rep for it than DBrown only because the former let it affect his performances (or lack of)...that's one example. Some commit acts of violence under it while others hide it quite well. Same with anyone

What were some of the best riddims this year (both roots & bashment)? I need to sift through the garbage to pick the winners. The only true banger I've found so far was the Cool Out riddim.

Buju made two major mistakes: messing with cocaine, and not taking the plea bargain which was offered. His music career may be over, but at this point I just hope he survives prison and is able to make something of his life if/when he gets out.
