Nice remixes! Like the riddim selections. Especially like "car thief" and "so what cha want." Fun stuff!by LYONS - SNWMF Phorum 2013
I like the Sony MDR-7506. They're under $100 and sound good. Used them for years for all around listening. Over the ear style. They fold up too. They have them at sweetwater for no tax or shipping. sweetwater sony headphone linkby LYONS - SNWMF Phorum 2013
Cool, thanks for sharing the interview Spleece!by LYONS - SNWMF Phorum 2013
Cool Spleece, I was wondering if you were recording that interview. Deep topics and reasoning. Good work! My stream went out for a bit, would love to check the whole interview. I'll link PM. Thanks!by LYONS - SNWMF Phorum 2013
Been checking out some of his tunes lately. Heard a nice long interview on the radio in Santa Cruz recently. Very insightful bredrin. Does anyone have a mix with just his tunes? promo, etc or link to stream. I have some riddim mixes with Kabaka here and there but would like to check more. Looking forward to seeing him live too.by LYONS - SNWMF Phorum 2013
(read this, guitarists!) - 5 months agoThose pickups sound like they're pretty awesome. I want that Other Woman. The Rude one's gonna be nice on your SG. Would like to try that setup sometime. Never really played an SG. Thanks for the link. Guitarists are interesting, how it's all about the eternal quest for better tone. Not all musicians have that subtle sense and it's quite beneficial in appreciation of music. Newby LYONS - SNWMF Phorum 2013
Yes, Apologies about "talkin shop" here, just reasoning with the bredrin. Anyway, I agree about the feel about the multi fx pedal boards. They take a bit to get used to the feel. The virtual wha pedal is like a car video game compared to a real gas pedal. Try some out, or check reviews. Not really try to push or sell the multi fx thing, just my experience playing and touring in aby LYONS - SNWMF Phorum 2013
I don't use any pre-amps or modelling and create my own patches. My brother makes boutique pedals, (basic audio) and has made a couple for me, but I'm still happier with the sound and flexability of my boss pedal board. Used a gt 6 for ten years! till the paramater button stopped working, then picked up a cheap used gt 8. solid. I'm waiting for a color display, solid new boss pedal board.by LYONS - SNWMF Phorum 2013
Yes, I have midnite's "in awe" in my car and it's been really nice; like the production, sounds, meditation. Sounds like you have the tools to get the sound your after, maybe not the active pickup. batteries A twin and jc-120 are the industry standard, and are the usual backline at clubs, festivals, etc. I would get a twin or a deluxe reverb, w one 12inch, much lighter transport.by LYONS - SNWMF Phorum 2013
It does sound like the rhythm guitz has a wha set in a certain position, the mids really cut through the mix. It could just be the hot output of his hummbuckers. The lead player adds nice tasteful color to the meditation, wha etc. You should just cruz up to the stage next time you check them and see what they use, or try to catch their soundcheck. Or try some stuff out at guitar center; lesby LYONS - SNWMF Phorum 2013

Cool interview with Eric and Oriana on Ajnag: cannabis lifestyle network. interviewby LYONS - SNWMF Phorum 2013
Smoka, I think you were confusing us with Native Elements. Oriana's been with us since the beginning. She is a big part of our sound and a strong woman. Check her new tune "I Rise" on the links above. (her story of overcoming cancer) Thanks, Daveby LYONS - SNWMF Phorum 2013

"Yes, but these are exceptions cause these weren't 70's riddims. They are 90's riddims to the best of my knowledge." I agree, just stating the trend of recycling riddims, all eras. Foundation-present. People have rebuilt 80's "prison oval rock", "sleng teng", "bandalero" etc. too. Now there touching some from the 90's, which had some classics. Those are cool tunes. It's the nature of JA music to rework/update/revisit riddims. pressure gyptian Just balance touching older riddims with creating new memorable ones. Thanks for the mixes.by LYONS - SNWMF Phorum 2013
