How in the world is he headlining? Damian or Stephen I could see, but Julian doesn't have the popularity or the catalog to deserve that spot.

Not my cup of tea but I think those bands fit in this festival just fine. I'm all for them being booked. Those acts bring crowds and money to the festival. That in turn allows the festival to bring in more quality reggae artists each year. I count 23 reggae performances that I would like to see this year. Unfortunately, Damian Marley is the only one of those artists who has close to the draw that

SpliffP and I went to 19 Broadway to see Clinton Fearon and the Boogie Brown Band circa 2001 or 2002. The band started up right after our group of 4 walked in. They played two full sets of music for maybe 10-15 people. It was only my second time seeing him (first was SNWMF 2000) and the show was great. Clinton chatted us up between sets as well.

Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra will be in the US for Coachella in April. Any chance on getting them to stay over a couple months for SNWMF?

Indeed. Max Romeo is my most anticipated performance of the entire festival regardless of who they add to the lineup from here on out. Feb 1st was the most difficult day of my life and seeing him on the lineup that morning was a small ray of light that helped brighten that day if only briefly.

I wasn't implying that they are performing together, only that they will all be on the Valley Stage on Saturday. Personally, I hope that Max Romeo performs in the evening and gets at least 90 minutes to perform.

Nice...only in the reggae business. I will definitely call the venue and see what they say. I will be there if the show happens and I will do my best to bring a couple folks with me. As to that 8pm start time that is listed....

I was planning to see the Meditations on Wednesday night in Tempe, AZ. I hope that the show still happens. I really hope that the promoter and/or venue don't indicate that the show will happen and then I drive 30 minutes on a work night only to find out the show isn't happening.

I asked a friend of mine how the show was after he saw Black Uhuru on their last tour. He said that the local (Tempe, AZ) opening band was the best part of the show. Not a particularly good sign. But hey, maybe this time around will be better.
