the venue is a very reputable venue that has been around for some time the promoter, i believe was somewhat reputable doing previous shows here in chicago as well as (i believe) having some history of doing shows in st. louis as far as saying this is "standard operating practice" is a poor excuse the promoter did not announce the no-show of the melodians until the show was about toby wellcharge - SNWMF Phorum 2013

went last night to see the melodians here in chicago. there was a full house in attendance just before the show started the promoter came on stage to announce "i've got some bad news" he first announced the passing of the backing band's bass player chillem. next he announced that the melodians would not be performing due to the fact that neither of the melodians made their flight gby wellcharge - SNWMF Phorum 2013
