Back stage, behind the valley stage if you have access is a nice place to chill and escape the massive. However sound is not the best.by steeleman - SNWMF Phorum 2013
I always thought the viceroys or chalice would be perfect for SNWMFby steeleman - SNWMF Phorum 2013
Respect HiGrade for mentioning Comanche, would defintely love to hear Stevo match his authentic sound with Hollie Cook or Errol.by steeleman - SNWMF Phorum 2013
I love all of Army's releases, especially when produced by Tuff Lion. Still hoping he gets added this year!by steeleman - SNWMF Phorum 2013
Quotejcom ^^^ To give your opinions about an artist doesn't mean you're a hater. This is a discussion forum for people to discuss their particular attractions to, or distractions from, the music we all love. To post that just because xyz artist isn't your fave or just isn't your cup of tea on these forums doesn't mean you're a hater. A "hater" to me is a much stronger term than justby steeleman - SNWMF Phorum 2013
Very interesting thread, however the topic of groundation and Harrison's voice is something that has been discussed before on this phorum. I would just like to add that I respect Harrison very much, as we were both at Sonoma State during the same time period and I have reasoned with him regarding his class he taught there. However that being said, IMO the man cannot sing, not to say he is not mby steeleman - SNWMF Phorum 2013
Quote3 Big Bull in 1 pen More like 4 big sound inna 1 big barn. Truly great to have a real sound like Comanche representing the North bay again. Quality over quantity every time!!!!!by steeleman - SNWMF Phorum 2013
Respect to Mike Pelanoci, one of the top sound engineers of today.by steeleman - SNWMF Phorum 2013
Top draw!!!!!!!!! I heard this was a possibility a few months ago, can't wait.by steeleman - SNWMF Phorum 2013
Respect to the General every time, one of my favorite VI artists. Forward to SNWMF!!!!!!!!by steeleman - SNWMF Phorum 2013
Julian can and will hold down the headlining spot. Just as talented as Steven and Damian. Maybe not the Damian 5-7 years ago, but today pretty close. No need to "educate" anyone on festival costs. It is common knowledge that the main goal of festivals is to make money, if they do not make money they end up closing down. i.e. the harmony festival. If you really want to make a point aboutby steeleman - SNWMF Phorum 2013
Personally I wish we could have gotten Julian, very talented artist. Also jealous of natural black and meditations. Also maybe Gramps without the rest and BKB. Reggae should still have no problem selling out this year.by steeleman - SNWMF Phorum 2013
Been requesting for Warren to sign his mother. The sweet vocals of the great Lorna Bennett!!!!!by steeleman - SNWMF Phorum 2013
BIG BIG ARTIST, well worth the trip alone to Beautiful Bolinas.by steeleman - SNWMF Phorum 2013
Big Respect to my man Jonny Gomes. Representing the NORTH BAY LARGE!!!!!!!!!!!by steeleman - SNWMF Phorum 2013
Comanche again proved why once again they are the only California sound that Warren will let run the dancehall and represent the north bay. Selections and this year were well nice, specially that delroy wilson cut on Friday. Saturday was not nearly as good as friday, but still decent.by steeleman - SNWMF Phorum 2013
I agree with digitalguise, Junior Francis is easily the most talented reggae MC I have ever witnessed. Also big respect to Spliff.by steeleman - SNWMF Phorum 2013
Comanche absolutely killed it in the dancehall Friday night. Amazing sound. Sounded better than Rodigan IMO. Big BIG respect to the man called LKJ for thanking Warren. I truly feel Warren is undoubtedly one of the greatest reggae promoters of all time. Nobody could have brought LKJ back to the states.by steeleman - SNWMF Phorum 2013
If renegade was the number one sound, they would have a spot in the dancehall instead of the weak ass parking lot/camp scene. I love when people say this is the best festival ever BUT I don't agree with all the rules, so I'm gonna do my own thing. Idolatry to the fullest. Please try to remember that this is just not another festival, but a one of kind world class event. Once again, WE are guestby steeleman - SNWMF Phorum 2013
B&C: Comanche is one of those rare sounds that believes in quality over quantity. You will not see them over saturating this board like the other sounds who constantly advertise here. Definitely check them out when they play in bolinas, as the quality of their sound is truly special. Respect!by steeleman - SNWMF Phorum 2013
Again big RESPECT to Comanche. The ONLY sound to once again REPRESENT the north bay.by steeleman - SNWMF Phorum 2013
Completely agreed, IMO special is by far the best CD by Jimmy.by steeleman - SNWMF Phorum 2013
Quality true roots vibe!!!!by steeleman - SNWMF Phorum 2013
Good News Strikkly and to everyone else who thinks that SNWMF does not appreciate LOCAL QUALITY ACTS. In case you have missed the past few years at this festival, a very HIGH and TRUE ROOTS QUALITY LOCAL ACT that goes by the name of COMANCHE HI POWER has run the dancehall sound. You probably missed them related to the fact that they do not rely on self advertising and self praise you get from theby steeleman - SNWMF Phorum 2013
I remember Comanche tearing it up every year. I mean NO DISRESPECT, but local sounds(JWS,WBLK,GUERRILLA,BROKEN SOUND) are constantly self-praising themselves as the best party around along with crazy drink specials day after day after day. That is not what this festival is about, which is probably why their applications are not picked up.by steeleman - SNWMF Phorum 2013
COCOA TEA!, had the pleasure to chat with Calvin a few times. What a positive and humble individual. Big Respectby steeleman - SNWMF Phorum 2013
Forward the sweet sweet voice of sister KOFI snwmf 2012by steeleman - SNWMF Phorum 2013
Agreed forwardzion, cept Comanche is not getting better, they always have been good. I still remember the sound Stevo provided for the SNWMF preparty in Philo with Carlton and Rankin Joe. That was in 06 and the best show, soundwise, I have ever heard. No disrespect to the other sounds, but Comanche is the top sound in the Northbay period!by steeleman - SNWMF Phorum 2013
