I I think Alpha Blondy will be the perfect close to a wonderful weekend. Sunday is like church and it will definitely feed my soul.by naturalmommy - SNWMF Phorum 2013
Well, you have to pay by the car, so each car gets a campsite. Seems fair to me.We always take seperate cars so we can hook-up a decent area and then have a few (car-less) friends join in.by naturalmommy - SNWMF Phorum 2013
Yes, please. WK would be an amazing addition to this years lineup.by naturalmommy - SNWMF Phorum 2013
I've only been to NWWRF once, and that venue is the selling point for me. The line ups have been so-so, but the venue itself is worth the trip. I loved camping in the forest within earshot of the stage. I'll try to go this year if the lineup is decent.by naturalmommy - SNWMF Phorum 2013
AT&T user and it has always worked for me.by naturalmommy - SNWMF Phorum 2013
My directions may not make sense but I can try, haha. So when heading back to sf you come to a fork to get back on the freeway, instead of going left at the fork go right. There is a median in the road, at the end of the median on the left there is a little parking area. Its only about a mile or two down from the fork. Park there, walk down and there is a sweet water hole. I hit it up every yearby naturalmommy - SNWMF Phorum 2013
There are a couple water spots nearby that I usually hit up before the drive home on Monday. If you ask around you'll get some directions from folks. Bikes aren't allowed. Hot during the day and cool at night, so be prepared. Water, sunblock, food, and a place to sleep is all you really need! Plan a nap into the day somewhere so you will be lively enough to make it through the night. Be friendlyby naturalmommy - SNWMF Phorum 2013
I am looking forward to The Twinkle Brothers, Johnny Osbourse and Jimmy Cliff (I can't pick just one). I also missed most of Romain Virgo's set last year so i'm hoping to catch him this time.by naturalmommy - SNWMF Phorum 2013
I still have faith. Help a mama out!by naturalmommy - SNWMF Phorum 2013
So, i Was a total slacker this year, in part to do with not being sure if I could go. I didnt buy a camping/show ticket and now the camping is gone (i love family camp so avbc is out). I've been 5 of the last 6 years including the last 2 with my little boy and decided I'd put it in the power of the the board. If someone can get me a camping ticket I'll take it as a sign I should just splurge andby naturalmommy - SNWMF Phorum 2013
I have a sweet folding wagon that I got at Costco. Love it!by naturalmommy - SNWMF Phorum 2013
Also add: Personal mister (kids love em and so do big people) water squirter/gun Bubbles & bubble gun A light up toy for evening time. it makes kids easily seen and entertains them for hours. Babywearing device like an Ergo. This is the only way my son would nap. A wagon is necessary for little ones! They can ride in it as well as take a nap. It also protects them for being stepped on.by naturalmommy - SNWMF Phorum 2013
VgV- I got my son's here and they are wonderful. We got the Peltor brand and have been using them since he was about 6 months old. The kid ones were good until about 18 months and ahe is now into the junior size. He's 3 , and there is plenty of room to grow.by naturalmommy - SNWMF Phorum 2013
People able to attend SNWMF are hardly sinking. Your intention is good, but i'm not sure the message would get across. More people would likely appreci-love a waterbottle, not $1. If they can afford the $200+ to attend, they aren't hurting for $$. And if they are, their priorities are wacked.by naturalmommy - SNWMF Phorum 2013
Definitely great for the family! I've taken my son the past 2 years (when he was 1 and when he was 2) and will hopefully go again this year. I recommend family camp for sure! It's all awesome families (who don't play dub step til 3 am) and it's located in a spot that even if you have to head back to camp before the music is done, you don't miss a thing. Love it! You do have to get there early befby naturalmommy - SNWMF Phorum 2013
The Purple Reggae Bus guy was annoying, ugh! He asked me if he should release that song and I told him only if he added some more words, Ha! He did serenade me a bit and actually had some skills, but the purple reggae bus ish was lame.by naturalmommy - SNWMF Phorum 2013
This was my first time to NWWRF. The biggest highlight was the location. By far my favorite on any festival so far. Camping in the woods was so amazing, it literally took my breath away. I felt kinda bad for the people that were down on the flat area. The vibes were way chill and mellow. Since it's smaller, it doesn't have as many 'I just wanna get @#$%& up and party' kinda folks. Lots of famiby naturalmommy - SNWMF Phorum 2013
Family camping is pretty limited. I kid of wish they sold special tickets for family camp to guarantee a spot. It seems like a lot of the campers were just friends of families and would be like 2 kids for 12 adults. I'd pay extra for a guarantee.by naturalmommy - SNWMF Phorum 2013
Just a forewarning, they might not let you in family camp unless you have kids in your car. So borrow your sister's kids to get you in.by naturalmommy - SNWMF Phorum 2013
Well, part of it could been the fact that my 15 month old kept waking up, so I bundled him with all of the blankets I brought, leaving only a sheet for me. I didn't sleep at all, I was so cold! It was absolutely gorgeous in the morning and afternoon, but the night was freeeeeezing! So my distaste for Donner could be human error. I was thinking somewhere with lower elevation could be more pleasurabby naturalmommy - SNWMF Phorum 2013
Does anyone know of any good camping spots around Lake Tahoe that aren't freezing in June? I know it's gonna be cold at night, but last year we camped at Donner and it was miserable! I've heard good things about D.L Bliss, but i'm scared of all the bear issues they have. TIAby naturalmommy - SNWMF Phorum 2013
I think last year we got there around noon and we got one of the last spots, so i'd get there before that to be sure. The sound is definitely good enough that you can hear the main stage from the family camping, so you don't miss much. There is a family area with small water slides and such, but the family camping is pretty chill with only mild smoke exposure. Also, during the day there are famiby naturalmommy - SNWMF Phorum 2013
I brought my son last year when he was about 15 months. He did surprisingly well and we will be going again this year. The family camping is way chill. No loud dub step at all hours of the morning, lots of friendly family neighbors, and it's straight back (but in front) of the stage so that you can still hear the show after putting the youth to sleep. There is no way to reserve it, you just haveby naturalmommy - SNWMF Phorum 2013
Woo Hoo! Sold! Can't wait. The line up is starting off nicely.by naturalmommy - SNWMF Phorum 2013
I couldn't figure out how to email directly, so i'm posting here. Will family camping be in the same spot as last year? It was absolutely PERFECT! I really enjoyed it as we were still able to listen to the show after putting the kids to bed. The year before it was in a pretty poor location. My attendance this year may depend on the location of family camp.by naturalmommy - SNWMF Phorum 2013
That would be SiKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!by naturalmommy - SNWMF Phorum 2013
