San Diego vibes- attended a dance there in the early 90's. Don't know the name of the club, but went with a friend who worked for Eliot at the time. Also attended a Nyabinghi session in SD during that time- a learning experience for a youth! Peace Man

After many years of running in with blanket in hand at 8 in the morning to get shade under the tarp at ROTR (for my kids and friends), my wife and I put down a small blanket wherever we can around the Valley stage and cruise around all day.

My wife and I drove through Boonville yesterday then checked out our campsite at Hendy and took a walk through the Redwood grove. Needless to say it got us pumped up! Been a hard year for us as teachers, and this will be a well-deserved vacation. Jeff

Anderson Valley is such a beautiful place, and the drive to the ocean through the Redwood forest tunnel, and the local wineries are wonderful, as wel as, of course, the brewery, the breakfast place, apple farm....Oh yeah, HENDY WOODS! Boonville is a perfect venue. We often take the long way to the ocean from Willits just for the drive through Anderson Valley. Peace

There's more to sports than winners or losers: And I agree- kids have a much better chance of becoming a cardiovascular surgeon than they do making it on a professional sports team. That being said, it also teaches values that otherwise might not be available to them, teamwork, setting and achieving goals, etc. and might even afford them those chances to go to medical school which they migh
