I been going to Monterey festival for several years.I've always had a great time there. Don't remember to many bands cancelling out but that happens alot in reggae it seems.It's usually visa problems,or that's what they tell us.They have a few top names play there every year.I also like seeing bands that I never have heard of or know much about. I'm in the same boat coco. I live in Fremont.I can't get any of my friends to go either. I want to leave Friday morning and come back Monday morning.Still have a month to hook up with people, so we shouldn't have any problems finding people to go with.Maybe get several people like us to hook up? GREAT WEEKEND.....BUT you need to give the closing act on Sunday an encore. Same thing happenned last year with English Beat. In order to get closure for the festival an ENCORE is needed!!! Let the act stop one song short and then come back for the encore. The crowd showed its displeasure when there was no encore for Barrington.They can have the music blasting in the campground till 3 am on Sundaby Fshman78 - SNWMF Phorum 2013

Much respect to Nomotrouble for his great work on the recordings. I ended up sitting next to him last year and he offered me a free CD of Groundation recorded at the Mezz in SF. Great quality sound. It was a show I was at, so even better to get a free cd of that show. AS for my favorite activity its the fire show ESPECIALLY when I'm tripping on mushrooms.
