and wouldn't you know...michael rose gets taken off last minute only to be replaced by richie spice? bait and switch over and over this year. I heard from my friends who went that it was dead inside too...good luck for next year makeda...

Lots of hawaiians in the northwest... Especially the college towns! Eugene, Corvallis, portland, Seattle all have a big Hawaiian scene. Rossta you'll like jboog alot more than Iration...

saw them last week at the bellyup and they are sounding better than ever....they have added karl denson(a great jazz sax player) to their lineup which fills it out quite nice. they were posting pictures on their facebook a few days ago of toots down at their studio in SD.

saw the GYC in 2011 in san diego and it was real nice...i really enjoyed christopher ellis...he's got a real nice voice. I saw Jo perform at that show too and again a few months ago when stephen came along and his stage presence has really stepped up. I'd really like to see spragga brought along again...he did a killer set before stephen.

If you stay downtown and close to the venue you shouldn't have a problem finding a place that has an airport shuttle(the airport is like 3 minutes from the venue) From anywhere in downtown, you can either take the trolley or a taxi(would be pretty cheap). there are a few hotels that are super close to the venue...not sure how much they run though. I haven't been to the new location yet, but it'
