Just got the SNWMF 2013 Sampler today and am curious about CD 1 track #3. Artist is "Black Am I" and I don't see any mention of him/them on the artist list. Anyone have ideas? Jah Sonby Jah Son - SNWMF Phorum 2013

When one of the Guam Massive asks me what the weather will be like, I have to tell them "COLD", since it rarely gets below 76 degrees F here. When it goes below 80, folks start to wear sweaters. So in comparison, SNWMF will be cold. I pack for both extremes....being a Michigan boy (long time ago) I can tolerate a bit of a chill more than most of my crew. I've had extra early bird tickets that I ended up not needing, and had NO problem selling them at the site, outside the Fairgrounds front office, for the price I paid. Festival goers were thrilled to get a good deal, and I didn't lose any money. Scalping is when you sell a ticket for more than you paid. Jah Sonby Jah Son - SNWMF Phorum 2013

I love math jokes even though most people don't understand them. I heard the Abelian Grape one almost 40 years ago, but there are plenty on this list that are new to me, and I will share them with my 1st and 2nd year Calculus students. Yes, yes, yes, many thanks to Warren, Gretchen, Daniel and the entire SNWMF crew for putting together an incredible line-up!!!! I've been absent for three years, after attending for many years in a row, due to money issues. Those have been solved and this year I was able to purchase a ticket in December and booked the LONG trip from Guam and back a couple months ago. We've been playing a lot of Hollie Cook here in Guam. Both her self named CD "Hollie Cook" and the companion CD "Hollie Cook in Dub". They are on Prince Fatty's Mr Bongo label. We also play "Prince Fatty Vs The Drunken Gambler" quite a bit. If there is more I should be checking out, please let me know. I am VERY excited about these two additions to the line-by Jah Son - SNWMF Phorum 2013

I've had others tell me that they don't like Harrison's voice, but personally I think it adds to the eeriness of his music. Throw in the occasional jazz, and I feel it makes for a sound that I like. Have been scrimping and saving and paying off credit card debt for the past three years just so I could get to SNWMF this year for the 20th anniversary. Would be excited no matter who was playing, but Max Romeo and Alpha Blondy?????.....WOW, I am so psyched!!!!!!!
